Welcome!
Thank you for choosing Complete K9 Care. We’re excited to welcome your dog and are committed to providing a safe, structured, and enjoyable boarding experience..
What Your Dog Can Expect
Throughout their stay, your dog will enjoy:
- Comfortable, climate-controlled indoor accommodations
- Multiple outdoor rotations
- Individual enrichment and one-on-one interaction with our team (if selected upon booking)
- Fresh water available at all times
- Feeding according to your dog’s normal routine
- Regular engagement with staff.
Feeding & Medication
We recommend keeping your dog on their regular diet to help prevent digestive upset while boarding.
If your dog requires medication, our staff are happy to administer it as directed at no additional charge. Please ensure all medications are clearly labelled with dosage instructions.
Health & Vaccination Requirements
To help protect all dogs in our care, we require:
- A current Rabies vaccination (required by our municipal licensing)
- An initial DHPP/DH2PP vaccination
We do not require Bordetella. As a licensed and inspected boarding facility, we maintain strict sanitation, cleaning, ventilation, and management protocols designed to reduce the spread of illness.
If your dog shows signs of illness before their reservation, please contact us before arrival.
During Your Dog’s Stay
Many dogs need a day or two to settle into a new environment. It is completely normal for them to eat a little less, sleep more once they return home, or be extra excited after boarding.
Our team continually monitors every dog’s behaviour, appetite, and overall wellbeing. If we have any concerns, we will contact you immediately using the contact information provided.
Enrichment Add-On
Want to give your dog a little extra during their stay? Our Enrichment Add-On is designed to provide additional one-on-one mental and physical stimulation beyond our standard boarding routine.
Each enrichment session may include activities such as:
- Structured games and problem-solving activities
- One-on-one play with a staff member
- Leashed walks around the property (weather permitting)
- Breed-specific enrichment tailored to your dog’s needs
Please Note: Our booking system currently applies the Enrichment Add-On to the entire boarding stay and does not allow individual days to be selected. If you would like enrichment provided only on specific days of your dog’s stay, please email training@completek9care.ca after booking with the dates you’d like the service added, and we’ll be happy to accommodate your request whenever possible.

Short-Term Stays (Under 3 Weeks)
Dogs staying for less than three weeks receive all the care included in our standard boarding program. The Enrichment Add-On is optional and can be added to any or all days of your dog’s stay.
Long-Term Stays (Over 3 Weeks)
To support your dog’s physical and mental wellbeing during extended stays, daily Enrichment Add-Ons are mandatory for all boarding reservations exceeding three weeks. This provides additional one-on-one training, walks, enrichment activities, and mental stimulation to keep your dog happy, engaged, and thriving throughout their stay.
For long-term boarding stays of 21 days or more, a 25% deposit of the total estimated stay is required at the time of booking to reserve your dog’s spot; no reservation is confirmed until this deposit is received and the boarding agreement is signed. For stays under 30 days, the remaining balance is due at drop-off. For stays 30 days or longer, the stay is billed in 30-day blocks, and each block must be paid in full at the start of that block. A credit card on file is required for all bookings, but you may pay by cash or e-transfer if arranged ahead of time. Any extra days added during the stay must be paid on or before pick-up, and overdue accounts may be charged late fees. All long-term stays include our enrichment add-on (built into the daily rate at a reduced price) as part of our ethical commitment to your dog’s physical and mental well-being during extended boarding.
Human Sociability Requirement
At Complete K9 Care, our staff are highly hands-on with every dog in our care. Dogs are handled multiple times throughout the day for feeding, exercise, enrichment, cleaning, and daily wellness checks. For this reason, all boarding dogs must be safe and social with people.
By booking boarding services, you confirm that your dog can be safely handled by our staff and does not present a risk of aggression toward people.
If you knowingly misrepresent your dog’s behaviour and your dog is determined to pose a safety risk to our staff, one of the following will apply:
- Prior to Check-In: If the risk is identified before your dog’s stay begins, boarding services will be refused and you will be charged a $50 fee to compensate for the reserved accommodation and lost revenue.
- After Check-In: If your dog has already been admitted and is found to be unsafe to handle, you will be contacted immediately and required to arrange prompt pick-up. If you are unable or unwilling to retrieve your dog, or we cannot reach you, your dog will be transitioned into our High Stakes Behaviour Modification Program, where specialized handling protocols can be safely implemented. This program is billed at $125 per day with a minimum commitment of five (5) weeks, and all associated fees will be the owner’s responsibility.
The safety of our staff, other guests, and your dog is our highest priority. Honest and accurate disclosure of your dog’s behaviour allows us to determine the most appropriate service and provide the highest standard of care.
